Kidds Beach police outside East London have arrested three suspects aged 22 to 27 in connection with an incident last week in which a 69-year-old man was robbed of his belongings and his Bantam Bakkie at Gulu beach.
He was robbed at knife point. .
Lieutenant Colonel Mtati Tana says police followed up on several leads and arrested the men on Sunday.
They were found in the possession of a number of stolen items including wallets, bank cards and cellphones.
The suspects have been linked to other pending cases which were reported in the area over the past three years.
Tana says they'll appear in the East London Magistrate's Court on Tuesday on charges of robbery and theft of a motor vehicle.
