Buffalo City Municipality is offering a rates rebate for senior citizens as part of the Metro's efforts to alleviate the socioeconomic pressures under the lockdown.
In a statement issued on Friday, Buffalo City Metro says to qualify for a rebate, a senior or retired person or disabled property owner must meet certain requirements.
These include that the applicant must be the owner and occupy the residential property at the primary residence, that person must be older than 60 years and have a gross monthly income of not more than R15 000 from all sources.
