The slow town of Sedgefield walked away with the Best Destination Stand Award at the end of this year's Getaway Show in Cape Town.
Hosted bi-annually in the Cape and Gauteng areas, and now in its 20th year, the Getaway Show is considered the benchmark by many in the industry.
Knysna Tourism CEO, Shaun van Eck says it was decided to feature Sedgefield's Slow Festival at this year's show.
He says more than 17-thousand visitors attended the Getaway Show, hosted at Lourensford Wine Estate in March.
