George mayor, Charles Stander, says the municipality's second clean audit is testament to their fiscal discipline and stable political leadership.
In a statement Stander said the municipality received a trophy on Monday trophy which celebrates the achievement of a second clean audit report for the 2012/13 financial year.
He says the George Municipality was one of only nine municipalities in the Western Cape to do so.
Stander says their clean audit report highlights the single minded commitment of the George municipality's leadership, to lead and set the right tone.
He says the priority in George Municipality is to ensure that the internal controls and systems are in place and nothing less than a clean administration will be accepted.
