Police in Kariega are searching for a 74-year-old man who was kidnapped in Cuyler Street on Tuesday morning.
Police spokesperson, Sandra Janse Van Rensburg, said Ebrahim Moosa, stopped his vehicle at his "workplace" in Cuyler Street when another vehicle which had been following him, blocked his car.
She said three suspects got out and forced him into a double cab bakkie and drove off in an unknown direction.
Janse Van Rensburg said the motive for the kidnapping is unclear at this stage and the police investigation is underway.
She said they are also appealing to anyone who can assist in tracing the victim to contact Colonel Alvira van Staaden on 082 319 8424 or Crime Stop on 08600 10111 or the nearest police station.
