An 84-year-old Eastern Cape man who went missing over the weekend was found unharmed by the Uitenhage K9 Search and Rescue team on Wednesday.
Police spokesperson, Captain Gerda Swart, said Peter Grootboom went missing after attending a spiritual session in the Rooiwal area in Hankey on Saturday.
Swart said Grootboon was found in a ditch about 1.5km from where he was last seen.
She said the local community and the PE Airwing helped conduct the search.
Swart said Grootboom only had a few minor scratches and he was immediately taken for medical treatment.
"The Humansdorp Cluster Commander, Brigadier John Lebok thanked all the role players involved for their assistance in ensuring the safe return of the man and he was reunited with his family," Captain Swart said.
