Cape Nature has confirmed that the search for a lion or lions that got out of a Mossel Bay game reserve is still ongoing.
Spokesperson Justin Lawrence, says they're acting in an advisory capacity, assisting officials from Gondwana Game Reserve outside Mossel Bay.
Reserve general manager, Neil Davison, told Die Burger that a lion or lions possibly got out through a fence.
He said they received a call from a farmer informing them that the animals were on his property.
Algoa FM News spoke to Lawrence about their role in the search for the lions.
"We are assisting in an advisory capacity. The search is still ongoing as far as Cape Nature are concerned we have got people on the ground who will be investigating the reason for the escape" he said
