An elderly St. Francis Bay woman has been robbed in her home of jewellery and other items worth more than R400 000.
Police spokesperson, Warrant Officer Gerda Swart, says the robbers gained access through a bathroom window after breaking down the burglar bars on Wednesday night.
She says the woman was tied up during the robbery, but wasn't harmed...
"St Francis Bay police are currently investigating a case of house robbery. An 89 year old lady was in her house when suspects took cash, diamond rings as well as a TV set" she said
