Political heavy-weights will be in Nelson Mandela Bay to commemorate the birthday of former president Nelson Mandela.
The ANC says it will be deploying some of its top brass to the Metro from Thursday, to take part in the very first Nelson Mandela International Day after the passing of Madiba last December.
ANC Chief Whip in parliament, Stone Sizani and Rural Development Minister Gugile Nkwinti will join ANC Secretary General Gwede Mantashe and many other national, provincial and regional leaders, who will heed the call to roll up their sleeves and clean-up the environment as part of the 67 minutes campaign.
Members of the Eastern Cape Provincial Legislature, in partnership with the Nelson Mandela Bay Municipality, are committing 67 minutes to clean the Grogro area in KwaZakhele, help renovate three dilapidated houses and to provide other services to the area.
The DA is also sending its parliamentary leader, Mmusi Maimane, to conduct his 67 minutes campaign at Njoli Square in Nelson Mandela Bay.
