The SA Police Service in the Eastern Cape will be unveiling its 2013 duty calls safer festive season operation plan on Wednesday.
Safety MEC, Helen Sauls August will present the plan to provincial police commissioner, Celiwe Binta, at a function in Nelson Mandela Bay.
The activities include a public participation programme at Njoli square, a motorcade and march and a full State of Readiness Parade at the Lillian Ngoyi Indoor Sports Centre in Kwazakele.
The Provincial Commissioner will also hand over 17 new vehicles to Cluster Commanders, Unit Commanders and Station Commanders to assist in the fight against crime.
The National Festive season campaign was launched in George recently by National Police Minister Nathi Mthethwa.
