Police are investigating two cases of business robbery after two armed men robbed two spaza shops in Despatch at the weekend.
In the first incident on Saturday evening, two men stormed into Malume Shop, Somi Street, Khayamnandi, Despatch and held an owner at gunpoint.
Suspects stole cash and cigarettes before fleeing in a brown unknown vehicle.
A second incident occurred less than half an hour later, at around a quarter to eight, when two men entered Despatch Groceries in Thobile Busakwe Street, Khayamnandi.
One of the suspects shot and wounded the owner in the left arm, before stealing cash and fleeing in an what police believe to be the same vehicle used in the previous robbery.
The shop owner was transported by an ambulance to hospital in a stable condition.
