Police at Beaufort West have arrested two men for the illegal possession of dagga worth R660 000.
Captain Malcom Potje says a white Hyundai minibus was pulled over on the N-1 national road near the industrial area on Monday.
Twenty six bags of dagga weighing 660 kilogrammes were found inside the vehicle.
The driver was en-route from the Eastern Cape to Cape Town.
The dagga and the vehicle were confiscated as evidence and the 26-year-old driver was arrested on the spot.
Potjie says police later arrested a 30-year-old man who offered them a R6 000 bribe in exchange for the release of the suspect and the dagga.
Both suspects are being detained at the Beaufort-West police holding cells and are scheduled to appear in court on Tuesday.
