Eastern Cape police commissioner, general Celiwe Binta, has expressed her shock at the murder of a Port Elizabeth policeman.
He had been earlier identified as 36-year-old Willem Pretorius who was stationed at Gelvandale police station.
His body was found late last night in bushes between Motherwell and Uitenhage.
Provincial police spokesperson, brigadier Marinda Mills, says police also found the body of another man several metres away. He had been stabbed several times and admitted to hospital.
Mills says they're hoping that he will be able to assist with the police investigation.
Ary van Onselen of Uitenhage was also reported missing on social media sites on Thursday.
