Members of the SA Municipal Workers Union downed tools at the Kouga Municipality this week in protest over the non-payment of municipal pension funds.
Samwu said since last year, the Kouga Municipality had not been paying workers deductions over to service providers such as Provident Funds and Medical Aids.
Meanwhile, Kouga Municipality says workers will return to work on Thursday.
Municipal manager, Sidney Fadi, says a meeting took place on Wednesday at which an assurance was given that all staff benefits will be paid by the end of June.
