Employees of the Sarah Baartman District Municipality have downed tools at the Municipality's Council in Port Elizabeth.
The members of the SA Municipal Workers Union presented a memorandum of grievances to the Municipal Manager, Ted Pillay on Tuesday.These relate to allowances and working conditions among other complaints.
A Municipality spokesperson said between 40 and 50 employees began their protest on Tuesday.The spokesperson says their grievances are being addressed.
