Two people drowned in farm dams near Joubertina in two separate incidents over the weekend.
Police spokesperson, Lieutenant-Colonel Priscilla Naidu, says 62-year-old Booi Kadank drowned when he went swimming with friends in a dam on Black Ginger Farm in Twee Riviere on Saturday.
Naidu says in the second incident, a 20-year-old woman drowned in a dam on Applekloof Farm in Louterwater, also on Saturday.
She apparently went into the dam to swim with her family, but began to struggle when she reached the middle of the dam.
