South African Breweries is to adopt Nelson Mandela Bay.
According to Metro Minute, Nelson Mandela Bay will become the second city in the Eastern Cape to have been adopted by a major corporate.
This follows an earlier decision by Mercedes Benz South Africa to adopt Buffalo City in terms of a programme launched by the Department of Cooperative Governance and Traditional Affairs.
The programme aims to encourage the private sector and public enterprises to support municipalities, especially in the areas where the businesses operate.
Eastern Cape Local Government MEC, Mlibo Qoboshiyane and Mayor Zanoxolo Wayile would sign a memorandum of understanding tomorrow spelling out the assistance that will be provided by SA Breweries to improve service delivery.
