Eastern Cape police have arrested two suspects for business robbery in Alicedale.
Spokesperson, Captain Mali Govender says the two men were allegedly also involved in a farm attack in Addo on Tuesday.
A 33 year old victim was robbed and stabbed on Monday by two men wearing balaclavas. The man was punched in the nose when he tried to escape and stabbed in his right hand when he tried to fight back.
The suspects took cash, cigarettes, airtime vouchers and the victim's cellphone.
The victim immediately reported the case at the police and was treated for shock. He is still in hospital in a stable condition
On Tuesday three off duty constables from Alicedale police noticed two men who had several packets of cigarettes in their possession and several versions of how their acquisitions.
Earlier the same day it was learnt that a robbery had taken place in the neighbouring town of Addo.
Detectives from Addo were searching for two suspects. Detective Commanders from the two stations made contact and it was established that these suspects fitted the description of the suspects they were looking for.
They will appear in court soon.
