Eastern Cape police are searching for five gunmen who stole two trucks from a Butterworth business.
Police spokesperson, captain Jackson Manatha, says a 57-year-old security guard Zozo Bricks and Sand, was confronted by the gunmen in the early hours of Saturday morning.
They took his cellphone, the keys to the two trucks and locked him inside a store room before fleeing in the two vehicle valued at around R560 000.
Manatha says the man managed to escape and alert his employer and the police.
No arrests have been made and police are appealing for assistance in tracing the two white Toyota Dyna trucks both white in colour with registrations DLK549EC and CSC863EC .
