Reward offered for information on rhino poaching

The Wilderness Foundation and the Forever Wild Rhino Protection Initiative are offering a R150 000 reward for information leading to the arrest and successful prosecution of those involved in the killing of two rhino at the Mount Camdeboo Private Game Reserve.

On Tuesday, a mother and her 2 and a half year old calf were killed, and the mother's unborn calf also died.

"Just to highlight the absolute horror of this latest incident, it was a an adult female white rhino and her 2 and half year old calf. She was also carrying a full term unborn calf, so this absolutely perfect rhino also died as a result of this horrific incident, so we calling on the public to provide information that may lead to the arrest of these perpetrators." said Wilderness Foundation, Conservation Director, Matthew Norval.
