A special task team investigating the murder of the owner of the Tornado Football Club, Siphiwo Nyobo, is now offering a reward for up to R50 000 to any person who can provide police with information which may lead to the arrest and successful prosecution.
The 54-year-old businessman and traditional healer was gunned down in his car earlier this month at the Nort End Stadium in East London.
Nyobo's driver and an innocent bystander were also wounded in the incident and are currently in hospital receiving medical treatment.
It is alleged that three unknown suspects approached and shot Nyobo at close range shortly after he left the stadium. The men fled the scene in an Isuzu Swift with an unknown registration number.
Police have roped in seasoned detectives to investigate the case, which has now run cold.
