Eastern Cape police are offering a reward for information that would lead to the arrest of the killer of Mthatha Municipal employee, Namhla Mtwa.
Provincial police spokesperson, Brigadier Tembinkosi Kinana, said an amount R200 000 is being offered to the public for assistance in the murder investigation.
Mtwa, 35, was gunned down outside her Mthatha home in April, in a suspected hit. Her sister later took to social media to detail a litany of alleged abuse at the hands of her boyfriend, who has reportedly denied any involvement in her death.
The EFF has also given police in the Eastern Cape an ultimatum to arrest who they believe is the prime suspect in the death of Mtwa.
Kinana said anyone who can assist in the investigation by sharing information that will lead to positive identification and arrest of the suspect, is requested to please contact the lead investigating officer Brigadier Venetia Masingi, at 082 040 6751 or call the Crime Stop number 08 600 10111.
