Residents from the small coastal village of Scoenmakerskop in Port Elizabeth have increased the reward for information on the double murder of an elderly couple.
Ken Alexander was bludgeoned to death on the morning of the 25th of September, and his partner Elaine Allwright died on Thursday as a result of the injuries she sustained during the brutal attack.
Malcolm Smale from the Schoenmakerskop Resident's Association told Algoa FM News that they had upped the reward to R50 000.
He said the reward would be paid for information that could lead to an arrest and successful prosecution of the perpetrators.
Police spokesperson Colonel Priscilla Naidu said they were now investigating two cases of murder.
No arrests have yet been made.
