Hundreds of victims of January's devastating fire which ripped through the Chris Hani informal settlement in Nelson Mandela Bay will get their lives back on track from Tuesday.
Home Affairs Minister, Naledi Pandor, will hand over hundreds of identity documents and birth certificates to those families who lost everything in the fires which were feulled by gale force winds.
Pandor's spokesperson, Lunga Ngqengelele, says the Minister is meeting home affairs officials before meeting Nelson Mandela Bay executive mayor, Zanoxolo Wayile.
"We have about 134 ID's that the Minister would be issuing out today and also 80 birth certificates so that those who were affected by the fires can go on with their lives" Ngqengelele said.
