The Buffalo City Municipality has closed it's King Williams Town refuse depot after an employee tested positive for Covid 19.
Municipality spokesperson Samkelo Ngwenya, says it will now undergo deep-cleansing and decontamination.
He says refuse removal services will be disrupted in King Williams Town and it's surrounding areas until that process is complete.
Ngwenya says Buffalo City's says every measure is being taken to ensure the safety of essential services staff through the provision of
Personal Protection Equipment and regular screening and testing.
