With just days to go before the start of the Oscar Pistorius murder trial, the father of the victim, Barry Steenkamp, has reportedly suffered a mild stroke.
The Times quotes family spokesperson, advocate Dup du Bruyn, as saying that while Steenkamp has recovered reasonably well, he will not be attending the trial which starts on Monday.
He told the newspaper that Reeva's mother, June and other family members will fly to Johannesburg on Friday.
The paralympian is charged with the premeditated murder of his girlfriend on Valentine's Day last year.
