The Reeva Steenkamp foundation which was launched in Port Elizabeth last year will be hosting a special breakfast on Women's day on Wednesday.
Reeva, who would have celebrated her 34th birthday later this month, was shot and killed by her boyfriend and former Paralympian Oscar Pistorius, on Valentines Day four years ago.
The slain model and law graduate from Port Elizabeth was passionate about educating and empowering women Victims of domestic violence and the Foundation was launched to do just that.
The CEO of the Foundation and Reeva's cousin, Kim Martin, said they were overwhelmed by the response from the ladies in Port Elizabeth and that the event was completely sold out.
The special guest speaker will be former High Court Judge, Anna-Marie De Vos, who became the first woman to be voted to the Bar Council in 1991 and was also one of the youngest Judges in the country at the time.
De Vos is currently a member of the George Bar Association and a strong activist and supporter of woman's rights.
Just under 300 women who will attend Wednesday's breakfast will also be part of an empowerment workshop to be educated in self-defence.
