Gqeberha police are investigating yet another house robbery that took place in the early hours of the morning.
Police Spokesperson Colonel Priscilla Naidu says the latest robbery was at 03h30 on Tuesday in Leipoldt Street in Fairview.
She says a 55-year-complainant woke up from a noise in the lounge and when he went to investigate he was confronted by an armed suspect who demanded his wallet, phone and TV.
Colonel Naidu says a second suspect was waiting outside.
The robbery took place just hours after a similar incident in Gazania Avenue in Sunridge Park about 4.7 km away.
Colonel Naidu says in the first robbery, a 77-year-old man woke up when he heard glass breaking just after 01h00.
She says he was also accosted by an armed suspect who demanded a TV set, wallet, blankets and cushions.
According to Atlas Security, the modus operandi of the two robberies was similar as a brick was used to break a window to gain entry to both homes.
They added that both complainants reported the presence of a suspect in a red hoody.
According to Atlas Security, blood was found at the crime scene in Fairview indicating that one of the men may have been injured.
