An Eastern Cape record price was paid for a Bonsmara bull at the Frontier Bonsmara auction held in Grahamstown on Wednesday.
Organiser, Paul Hobson says the bull, owned by JJ Park from Bedford, was sold to a buyer from Bedforview for a staggering R180 000.
He says another bull, also owned by Park, was sold to a buyer from Kirkwood for R150 000.
Hobson says in all, 62 bulls on offer were sold at an average price of R42 000.
