An SA National Parks ranger has been transferred to a Port Elizabeth hospital after being injured by a rhino in the Mountain Zebra National Park near Cradock.
Sanparks Eastern Cape spokesperson, Megan Taplin, says the 28 year old ranger was part of a group on routine patrol yesterday morning when the incident happened.
She says the rangers were on foot when they were charged by the rhino.
Taplin says only one ranger was injured but not gored by the animal.
She says he was taken to Cradock hospital where he was stabilised before being transferred to Port Elizabeth.
