Eastern Cape Premier, Oscar Mabuyane says the Province is ready to welcome President Cyril Ramaphosa, members of his Cabinet, and other government officials during the 9th District Development Model Presidential Imbizo in Tsomo next Friday.
The planned engagement will see the President, together with national Ministers, Members of the Provincial Executive Council, Executive Mayors, and Councilors of various municipalities in the Eastern Cape coming together to engage, listen and provide responses in real-time to issues that are of concern to communities.
Mabuyane says he is calling on the people of Intsika Yethu Local Municipality to come out in their numbers to engage with the President and raise their concerns.
Speaking on the sidelines of the National Dialogue on Coalition Governments at the University of the Western Cape on Saturday, the Premier said Tsomo was one of the historic places in South Africa as it was the birthplace of the late Albertina Sisulu.
