Port Alfred and the Garden Route bore the brunt of the early onset of rainy weather this week.
According to figures released by the PE branch of the SA Weather Service, Port Alfred received 77 mm of rain.
Plettenberg Bay, Mossel Bay and George received between 34 and 40 mm of rain in the past 24 hours.
East London and Patensie received 28mm while several other weather stations across the province recorded between 16 and 18mm.
Weather office spokesperson, Garth Sampson, says scattered showers will occur over the western regions of the Eastern Cape west of a line from Port Elizabeth to Cradock, on Tuesday.
Heavier showers and thundershowers can be expected to move eastwards, reaching the line between Port Elizabeth and Cradock around 7.30 on Tuesday evening and lasting until Wednesday morning.
