SANRAL advises that a section of the R72 coastal road between East London and Port Alfred will be closed for 5 hours tomorrow to allow for the recovery of a truck that went down an embankment last night.
Motorists travelling from East London can use the N2 via Makhanda but if they use the R72 they will be diverted at the Peddie turnoff.
Motorists travelling from Port Elizabeth can also use the N2 via Makhanda but if they continue on the R72 they will be diverted at the Birah turnoff.
The section of the R72 in question will be closed between 07h00 and 12h00 on Saturday 11 May.
