A rare sub-Antarctic male fur seal has been spotted on a beach at Great Brak River.
The organisation, Stranded Marine Animal Rescue Team, has cordoned off the area around the seal, which is presumed to be resting on the beach.
The organisation says the seal is a rare sight on the South African coastline and could have travelled up to 4 000 km’s to get here.
It says the seal seems to be in good health and that they’ll keep an eye on him until he returns to the ocean.
