Quick action by Port Elizabeth police has led to the arrest of four men who broke into a house in Bluewater Bay.
Police spokesperson, Captain Andre' Beetge, says just before 1pm a domestic worker noticed four men cutting the electric fencing around the house and jumping over the wall into the property.
He says the woman was looking after two children aged four and six.
Beetge picks up the story.
"They proceeded to go in one of the rooms and locked themselves in, in which four of these criminals broke the bedroom window and entered, in the end luckily without harming anyone in the house, they took laptops, DVD's, all sorts of household items and fled the scene."
Beetge told Algoa FM News that within no time, the perpetrators were behind bars.
"Within minutes and with help from the air wing helicopter, we managed to trap these robbers in Wells Estate, we managed to arrest all four robbers which is a good success for the South African Police Service" said Beetge.
