Public to join in search for missing mother Silvia Wittal

Missing German teacher Silvia Wittal

Several roleplayers including police, K9 Search and Rescue, Dark Water Ops, ALERT Watch, Sherwood watch groups and members of the public will embark on a massive search operation for a Gqeberha mother who was last seen on the 30th of December.

Forty-five-year-old Sylvia Wittal's Silver Kia Picanto was found by police at Sacramento in Schoenmakerskop on the 3rd of January.

Police spokesperson Captain Andre Beetge says according to eyewitnesses the car had been parked there for two days.

The search for Wittal has thus far been unsuccessful.

It was earlier reported that she left her phone at home.

Members of the public who are interested in joining Saturday's search are asked to meet up at the Sacramento Trail at Schoenkamerskop at 8.30 am.

The search that was initiated by Alert Watch will be strictly monitored and guided by the relevant officials.
