Probe into Uitenhage gyrocopter crash gets underway

The Civil Aviation Authority will begin investigating the cause of the Gyrocopter crash near the Uitenhage Airfield on Wednesday in which two people were killed. 

The local pilot in his 50's and an airforce student were killed when the gyrocopter crashed in dense bush and burst into flames. 

.Meanwhile the organiser of the two-day Wings and Wheels Festival in Uitenhage, the Reverend Lourens Kruger says, the Festival will go on.

He says the pilot was well known.

He conveyed his condolences to the family of the victims.
