Presenter/pastor back in Court on charge of statutory rape


A PE FM radio station presenter and pastor, who was arrested for an alleged sexual relationship with a minor, is due back in the Port Elizabeth Magistrate's Court on Wednesday.

The man, believed to be in his 40's, made his first court appearance last month on a charge of statutory rape.

The matter was postponed for further investigation.

At the time of his arrest, police captain Johann Rheeder said the girl involved was 15 years old when the alleged sexual relationship began in 2013.

She  told the Family Violence, Sexual Offences, and Child Protection Unit that they had intercourse on a regular basis.

Meanwhile, a 35-year-old Kingfisher FM radio presenter is due back in the City's Magistrate's court on the 22nd of October on a charge of sexual assault .

He was arrested for allegedly making numerous threatening phone calls to a 22 -year- old woman, indicating that he was going to sexually assault her.
