Stormy weather in Nelson Mandela Bay has resulted in power outages being experienced in a number of areas.
Municipal spokesperson Roland Williams says strong winds have triggered faults and brought down power lines and that technicians are braving the conditions to restore supply as soon as possible.
He says that given the conditions, its impossible to give any times frames and has asked residents of the Metro to be patient.

Staff are attending to restoration of supply - no time-frames available.
Meanwhile George and surrounding areas were also not spared. The George Municipality alerted residents on their Twitter account of problems caused by the stormy weather.
-Pine Dew Lane - a tree has felled a line causing power outages in the area. Points have been isolated - electrical team working on the line.
-Uniondale - power is down due to a tree on the line - tree has been cut up and due to be removed within next two hours.
-Hoekwil - a pole has landed on the transformer causing a power outage. Approximately 10 houses affected - teams are working.
-Geelhoutboom and Hansmoeskraal are experiencing power outages - faults have not been located yet but teams are working on the problem
-Pacaltsdorp - a low voltage line has fallen causing a minor power outage - the problem will be resolved as soon as possible.
-The planned maintenance for Thembalethu for 4th June has been postponed due to extreme weather conditions.
