Three people have been killed in a spate of suspected gang-related shootings in Port Elizabeth's Northern Areas.
Warrant Officer Alwin Labans says in the latest incident at about six o'clock on Sunday morning, police found the body of a 27 year-old man lying in an alley off Bellflower street in extension 32, Bethlesdorp.
He'd been shot in the head and chest. Resident's told police they'd heard 4 to 5 shots in the area around midnight.
And shortly before 3 o'clock on Sunday morning, police responded to a shooting in Korsten outside a sports bar in Drew Street.
Seven spent cartrides were found at the scene.
Labans says police then discovered the body of a 21 year-old man lying in Boston street, around the corner.
He'd been shot in the back and stomach and has been identified as Keenan van Rensburg from the Schauderville Area.
Labans said they were looking for suspects in both killings.
Helenvale was also rocked by two gang-shootings on Saturday.
Shortly before 6 pm, a lone gunman pulled a firearm and fired 5 shots at two men walking in Ambraal Street.
A 25 year-old man was not injured but his 30 year-old friend was hit in the left shoulder and stomach.
He is in a stable condition in hospital.
In the early hours of Saturday morning, a 43 year-old man was shot in the face and killed at his home in Chamoi street, Helenvale.
