Two more petrol stations were robbed in Port Elizabeth on Friday night, bringing the total to five robberies in the past three days.
Police Spokesperson Captain Andre Beetge says four armed suspects robbed the Sasol Garage in Nzunga Street, Motherwell at about 8.30pm.
They stole an undisclosed amount of cash, cigarettes and cell phones before fleeing the scene on foot.
Beetge says just two hours before that, a Fidelity guard was robbed at the Caltex garage in Struandale.
He says the guard was working on a drop safe inside the garage and was robbed at gunpoint when he returned to his vehicle.
Three suspects were involved and they also fled on foot.
Two Caltex garages were robbed in Fernglen and Perseverance respectively and an Engen garage in Kwamazaki.
No arrests have been made.
