Port Alfred police are investigating a case of culpable homicide following an accident on the R72 on Monday night involving a truck and an UNO.
Luitenant Luvuyo Mjekula says a 28 year-old man from Port Alfred was killed in the accident which happened around 9pm between Kenton on Sea and Port Alfred.
Mjekula says the driver of the Uno was killed after he appeared to lose control of his vehicle and collided with the on-coming truck.
The name of the deceased is being withheld until his next of kin have been informed.
