The Director of International sales in Africa and the Middle East at Boeing Commercial Aeroplanes limited, Joao Miguel Santos, is visiting 43 Air School in Port Alfred on Tuesday, as part of an information day at the school.
Boeing has entered into a partnership with the school for the initial training of pilots, who will later proceed to acquire ratings to fly Boeing aircraft.
The event is expected to be attended by guests from Johannesburg and Durban, while more light will be shed on the number of commercial pilots that will be required in Africa over the next few years.
Among the well-known personalities in the aviation fraternity at the event, will be globally renowned SAA pilot and instructor Laurie Kay, veteran aviation journalist and editor Tom Chalmers and 43 Air School CEO Attie Niemann.
