Popular Mossel Bay restaurant burns down

A popular restaurant at Mossel Bay's Beachfront has burned down.

Police confirmed that the La-Belea Sportsbar at De Bakke caught fire in the early hours of Thursday morning.

Police Spokesperson Warrant Officer Pieter Koekemoer says the fire broke out shortly after midnight and the cause is not yet known.

No foul play is suspected but a case of arson is being investigated as a matter of routine.
