Police in East London have issued a warning to all surfers to be more vigilant if they go out in the water.
The Station Commander at the Cambridge police station Brigadier Pumla Mdlankomo issued a warning to surfers around the Nahoon Beach area after three vehicles have been reported stolen this month alone.
He says surfers leave their car keys in places before they go into the water.
Mdlankomo says it is easy for thieves to find these hiding places.
He urged surfers to be more vigilant to prevent such crimes in future.
