The Motherwell Police cluster in Port Elizabeth is to hold a special meeting at Ngoza Jeba Hall with tavern owners following fatal shootings on Monday night in New Brighton.
Three men were killed and four other patrons critically wounded in the attack on Chippa's Tavern in Nibe Street, shortly after 10pm.
Police spokesperson, warrant Officer Thembi Gwe says a lone gunman is believed to have been responsible for the killings and that he simply walked into the tavern and started shooting randomly.
She says police will meet with tavern owners and liquor officers tomorrow to discuss incidents of crimes which take place at taverns.
