Port Elizabeth police are investigating a case of murder and attempted murder after a businessman was found dead in his Sidwell business.
Captain Sandra Janse Van Rensburg, says the body of 64-year-old Soonthra Chetty was found in the business premises on Monday afternoon.
She told AlgoaFM news that police also found a 34-year-old employee who had been tied up and had a stab wound to the chest.
Janse Van Rensburg says police were alerted to the crime scene by an alert neighbour who noticed a man struggling to drive the businessman's mini-bus.
She says the neighbour approached the vehicle upon which the suspect fled.
There have been no arrests, at this stage.
