Police Minister to attend funeral of Uyinene Mrwetyana

Police Minister, Bheki Cele will honour the wishes of the parents of murdered University of Cape Town student, Uyinene Mrwetyana and attend her funeral service in the Eastern Cape on Saturday.

He will be joined by the investigation team that investigated the missing persons case which led to the arrest of a 42-year old suspect.

She was brutally raped and murdered inside the Claremont post office in Cape Town last week.

A Post Office employee is being held in connection with her rape and murder.

The service was set to take place at the Abbotsford Christian Center in East London.
