Police Minister Bheki Cele will be attending the funeral service of the late Port Elizabeth Flying Squad member, Constable Dwane Kemp.
Minister Cele will be joined by Eastern Cape police commissioner, Lieutenant-General Liziwe Ntshinga and other senior officers at Kemp’s funeral on Saturday at the NG Church in Charlo.
A memorial service will also be held on Friday at the NG Moeder Gemeente in North End at 11 am.
31-year-old Kemp passed away in a Port Elizabeth hospital on Monday afternoon after he was shot while he and a colleague responded to an armed robbery at Le Bon bakery in Central.
His colleague returned fire, killing four armed robbers inside the premises.
Police are still hunting for a fifth suspect who fled the scene of the robbery.
