Police in Mosselbay have identified the man who was killed after an elderly lady drove over him in the church parking lot on Sunday.
The accident happened shortly after the morning service at the NG Church in Hartenbos.
Police Spokesperson Captain Malcolm Poje says he was the 63-year-old Jan Erasmus.
Erasmus and another man were in the church parking lot when an 85-year-old woman lost control over her Hyundai i10.
Pojie says reportedly put her car in reverse when she lost control.
She drove over them and damaged two vehicles in the process.
The other victim is still in the hospital.
Pojie says a case of culpable homicide is under investigation and the docket will be sent to the Director of Public Prosecutions to decide whether or not to prosecute the lady.
He says the woman has not been arrested.
